Over the years UK Tents have been asked thousands of questions regarding our fixings, frames and materials. Today we explain how UK Tents have fast become the number one place to buy marquees. I have broken our products down into sections so you can see the research we have done and the lengths we go through to create UK Tents products.

Galvanised Steel Frames

A strong frame is the key to any robust marquee and UK Tents only use galvanised steel. Our clever design is perfect for regular short term use, we understand there’s a balance between robustness and building efficiency. PVC and PE Material

We have 4 different ranges of marquees that use different grades of PVC and PE. The PE Marquee has 200g/m² material thickness, The Economy and Premium ranges both have 500g/m² material thickness. Our professional grade marquees have a thickness of 550g/m² material which is the thickest PVC we offer. We have covered all bases with our selection:

• PE Material – Perfect for parties, home use and temporary cover.
• 500g/m² PVC Material – Suitable for commercial use, marquee hire companies and public events.
• 550g/m² PVC Material – Combats bad weather very well and can be used for all scenarios.

UK Tent Connectors

Our steel connectors also have a different thickness depending on the range of marquee. Our PE, economy and premium range marquees all contain connectors that are approx. 42 mm. The connectors from our professional marquee range have a thicker wall that is approx. 54 mm to support the heavier PVC.

All of our party tents use our unique bolt system which requires no tools and contains everything you need to easily build. UK Tents would NEVER use the click in style marquee and I have previously written a blog called The Problems With The Click-In System where we provide more information on this. The connectors can actually be a weak point to the structure if especially if you was to use a click in marquee.

Why Are UK Tents Better?

As we are based in the UK we do not have to comprise on weight or design. Some of our competitors have made steel frames by including sleeves as they don’t want the length of boxes to be over a certain length. This will create a weakness in the structure and the reason why they do this is to lower their cost. Most couriers don’t like to deal with “Ugly Freight” basically the smaller the box the cheaper and easier it is to deliver to the UK. All of our marquees have been designed with safety as a priority and we haven’t cut a corner to achieve great products.
