Help us support Howard in the London Marathon
Howard is our Sales Manager here at UK Tents. This year he is running the London Marathon on 23rd April 2023. Even though Howard is our eldest team member at 60 years of age, he is probably the fittest and healthiest person in our company! Howard has previously participated in competitions such as Iron Man’s, triathlons and of course previous marathons. He regularly cycles to work and is working hard training at the moment including swimming, cycling and lots of running to get ready for April.
This is not the first time Howard has run the London Marathon, the last time he took part he was 31 years of age and achieved a PB of 3 hours and 38 minutes which he is hoping to beat this time around! Howard is running to raise money for a charity close to his heart, his Dad Gerry had Parkinson’s and on behalf of his Dad he has chosen to run for the Parkinson’s charity and all that suffer with this awful disease. Last time Howard ran, he managed to raise over £10,000 for this amazing charity and we would love to be able to help him beat this figure before April.
A fun fact about Howard is his nick name that we have given him here at UK Tents. We call him ‘Robot’ as he is a machine! Howard is of course very fit, healthy and will beat anyone at any fitness competition, but on top of that, he is extremely calm and collected always! We are delighted to be supporting Howard throughout his journey and can’t wait to see him smash his PB!
