Would a PE tent be good enough to hire?

There are many reasons to buy a PE party tent: They are light, easy to store and perfect for a short term hire. Please be aware PE tents are of course 100% waterproof but they are NOT fire resistant. This is why we advise to only hire these for small garden parties or cover for a short period of time.

Would UK Tents only recommend the professional range to hire?

Our professional range are fantastic party tents but they may not always be the answer. We would advise a pro marquee If you want to impress a high profile client or when you have a well paid wedding/important event. The 2.6 meter lateral height really adds the wow factor and allows you to decorate the marquee with more lining. We would recommend a premium marquee if you have a long term rental agreement with your client. Fire resistance and ground bar comes as standard making this the perfect marquee for commercial use. The Economy range is perfect for any garden party and really wouldn’t look out of place at a big event but please note Eco marquees do not include ground bar and aren’t fire resistant.

What accessories do I need?

One question we get asked many times a week is “Does ground bars help keep a marquee down?” a very quick simple answer is no. If wind was to get underneath a marquee and it wasn’t held down properly it can cause a lot of damage or even worse cause a serious injury. A cost effective way to hold your structure in place is by using our extra strong ground stakes. They are simple to use and easy to store. If you are expecting bad weather you might want to think about purchasing a storm protection kit, we sell them for hard and soft ground.

Can I collect a marquee today?

UK Tents offer a click and collect service where you can buy a marquee and collect it on the same day. We are based in Bedfordshire and you can find our address on our contact us page. All you need to do is choose what you want, add to your basket, select click & collect and call us to arrange a suitable time for you to collect your goods.

How do I market my marquee hire business?

This is a really interesting question and throwing money at Google is an obvious way of getting instant results. We recommend advertising locally to begin with, Google my business is a great free tool to start off with. Localising Facebook ads, Google ads and other search engines is the best way to keep travel costs down while covering the local area. Cold calling restaurants, pubs and local golf clubs could be a fantastic way to secure long term rental contracts. The one thing we recommend above anything else is to do an amazing job as word of mouth in this industry is everything!
