First of all everyone from UK Tents would like to wish you a very happy new year. I thought it would be a good idea to write about the most asked question over the holiday season which was “What marquee should I buy for my garden?”

We obviously can’t predict the size of everyones garden but we can follow our data collected from previous customers that have bought our marquees for garden use. The two most common sizes for a garden party tent is 3×6 or 4×6 and UK Tents have a range of products to best suit your requirements.

If you are new to our products let me explain the differences between our PE, Economy, Premium and Professional marquees.

PE Marquee Range

Our PE marquee is our most popular marquee for home use for many reasons:

• The Tarpaulin is lighter making it easy to build and move around.
• It offers huge value for money and it often works out cheaper than hiring a marquee.
• If you have never bought a party tent before it is the easiest to build.
• Storage is very convenient as it requires less space.

Economy Marquee Range

The only difference between our PE and Economy PVC marquees is the thickness of the tarpaulin (PE is 200g/m² and Economy PVC has 500g/m² thickness) Both structures use a galvanised steel frame which is the same thickness.

Premium Marquee Range

The UK Tents premium marquees all have 500g/m² PVC thickness but this is not the only extra. This marquee range is a huge step up from our PE range as it has fire resistance and a complete ground bar system. The ground bar system is designed to keep the marquee in great condition by combating bad weather and general use.

Professional Marquee Range

The professional range has everything you could want in a marquee. It comes with: 500g/m² PVC tarpaulin thickness ground bar system, fire resistance and in some cases 2.6 lateral height (Depending on the size marquee)

Please Note – Our professional marquees are much heavier and will require at least 2 people to build.

Many people are really unsure what size marquee they should purchase for their garden and we always recommend to measure. You can download various measuring apps on your smart phone to get a good idea of the space you have available but we strongly recommend you use a normal tape measure.

Once you have decided the marquee size you want to go for its important to know how many guests you can safely fit in.
