Here at UK Tents there are many different marquees you can purchase to suit any occasion, event or purpose. Below is a breakdown of the differences between all of our available marquees to buy on our website. With all this information you should be able to decide which marquee is right for you…

PE Marquee

The PE marquee is our lowest grade marquee, however, still a great, well made product and perfect for garden parties. All of our marquees are made with galvanised steel which makes the frame sturdy and equip to be used for events throughout the year. PE stands for polyethylene which is the material that the roof and sides are made of; they are 200 gsm to be precise. Because of this material, the PE marquee is very light weight which means it’s a great model to use at home as it is light and easy to erect anywhere. All of our marquees are 100% waterproof which is always useful when it comes to the great British weather.

Economy Marquee

Next up we have the Economy marquee. The main difference between this marquee and the PE is the roof and windows are made from PVC material which is thicker, but still lightweight, 250gsm to be precise. Our customers have used the Economy marquee for everything from summer parties to extending their house for Christmas dinner. As all of our marquees, the Economy is made with galvanised steel and is 100% waterproof.

Premium Marquee

The Premium marquee is a step up from the Economy and PE. Our Premium marquees have a cross bar and ground bar, this makes the marquee frame more structurally secure. Along with extra bars, this marquee has been fully tested and is labelled as fire resistant. This gives this marquee the go ahead to be allowed into businesses such as pubs to extend their capacity. The Premium is of course 100% waterproof still which allows businesses to use this product in the winter too; some have used it for their Christmas party nights. The PVC is thicker in this product which helps with strength in the full structure, 500 gsm to be precise.

Professional Marquee

The Professional is our top of the range marquee. It has a lot of added details to make it the best of the best. Of course like the Premium, the Professional includes a cross bar and ground bar to strengthen the structure, however, the galvanised steel is actually thicker in this product, 50 mil rather than 38 mil, which all of our other marquees are made from. If customers are looking to put their marquee in a more exposed area than a garden, this is definitely the best marquee to go for. The Professional also has thicker PVC, 550 gsm to be precise, along with being 100% water proof and checked and labelled fire resistant too. The Professional marquee is the only one of our marquees that a select few of our larger size marquees can reach 2.6 in height; this is not possible in our lower grade marquees. Therefore if you want more ceiling space, this is the product for you.

Storage Tent

Our storage tents are very much like the Professional grade marquees. They are made exactly the same with the thicker PVC and galvanised steel; however, the storage tents do not have windows. As a storage tent, windows tend to not be needed because of the sole use as storage, therefore, the decision was made to remove all windows to help make the PVC stronger all round to ensure the structure could last a longer duration for storage purposes. As the Professional marquee, this is also 100% waterproof and labelled as fire resistant, which makes this the perfect product for anyone to use as storage, business or not.

Industrial Tent

The industrial is yet again stronger and thicker than our storage tents. The PVC is much thicker, 650gsm to be precise, our strongest PVC that we sell. The PVC is also all one piece, instead of separate windows, doors and roof. The PVC was manufactured all in one piece to make the structure less likely to tear and helps the overall structure to be much sturdier overall. Our industrial tents are popular with businesses and charities that want to store equipment or even use it as their own warehouse/showroom. Our industrial tents can also come in different sizes, either 3m or 4m sides, lateral height.

Lining

Our lining is bespoke and made by our manufacturers to fit each of our individual marquees. Lining is a great cost effective way to decorate your marquee for any event. We have 5 different colours of lining on our website, white, cream, pink, blue and black. However, if you need a specific colour for a certain themed event then we will get in contact with our manufacturers for you to have it specially made. Lining is perfect for all events; it can transform your marquee from normal garden party to a posh black tie event in minutes. We use a brand of fabric called silky satin, which has a beautiful shine finish making it perfect for weddings, private parties or corporate events too. It is extremely easy to put up with handy velcro hoops to attach it securely to the marquee. The satin material means it shines no matter the time of year and it can really transform your marquee and make you forget you’re actually still in your back garden!
